“You’re going to kill a whole lot of people.” Every season of Prime Video's hit Reacher is a new adventure with Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson). Throughout the series, the wayward drifter has brought audiences everywhere, from the countryside town of Margrave, Georgia (not a real place) to the casinos of Atlantic City — all in the pursuit of justice. With a brain that matches his larger-than-life brawn, the ex-military police investigator isn’t leaving the case unsolved under his watch.
Reacher’s not the only one in the pursuit of justice. Indeed, television and its large audience love to see the good guys get back at their enemies. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more satisfying than foiling a criminal’s meticulous plans, and there is no shortage of series that prove it. In celebration of these kinds of shows, this list will discuss ten great TV shows to watch if you love Reacher. There won't be a ranking; instead, the list means only to recommend alternatives for those who want similar adventures as those of this hulking investigator.

10 ‘The Night Agent’ (2023 - Present)
Starring: Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola

In The Night Agent, FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) is relegated to the lowest of positions: the basement of the White House. His job is simple: man a phone that never rings until it does. Little does Peter realize that one call would set off a chain reaction of events that not only endangers himself but also propels him into a dangerous conspiracy that leads him to the top 1% of the Oval Office.
The storyline in The Night Agent is far from plausible. Alas, what it lacks in logic, The Night Agent makes up with loads of escapist action. With an enemy always lurking in Peter’s shadow, the moments of calm are rare. It’s an excellent option for those looking for something that doesn’t require much analysis — just solid characters to root for and some bone-crushing fight Kung Fu-esque fight sequences.

9 ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ (2022 - Present)
Starring: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell, Becki Newton

It’s time to lawyer up with the hottest defense attorney in Los Angeles. Based on the novel series of the same name by Micahel Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer follows the incredibly idealistic Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) as he runs his firm from the back of his car. Following his struggles with substance abuse, Mickey returns to the courtroom and reminds everyone why he’s to be feared.
The Lincoln Lawyer is the complete opposite of the sleek and stylish Suits. Rugged and sun-drenched, Mickey isn’t exactly the guy one might expect to represent a defendant. Despite his unorthodox way of working, Mickey always maintains a sense of compassion for his clients, no matter how cutthroat the case is. Most recently, The Lincoln Lawyer has been renewed for Season 4 on Netflix.

8 ‘The Recruit’ (2022 - 2025)
Starring: Noah Centineo, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn

It’s Owen Hendricks’ (Noah Centineo) first day on the job at The Recruit, and the bright-eyed CIA lawyer wasn’t planning on having the most exhilarating first week. But when he discovers a mysterious graymail from former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock) threatening to expose CIA secrets, Owen is entrusted to neutralize the situation. From getting his nail pulled out in Yemen to almost being bombed in Prague, Owen's been out of the office for quite some time.
Folks might remember Centineo as sweet boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky from the To All the Boys I've Loved Before franchise. Centineo might still retain some of his trademark “adorkableness” from his previous role, but throughout The Recruit, Owen evolves from a meek lawyer to a take-no-BS field agent. The show immediately hits the ground running — be sure to keep up. Sadly, The Recruit won't return for Season 3, even though it absolutely should.

7 ‘Tracker’ (2024 - Present)
Starring: Justin Hartley, Abby McEnany, Fiona Rene

Fellow drifter alert! Tracker follows lone wolf Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), who travels across the country, carrying nothing but the clothes on his back and whatever tool he has. With a sharp eye and a sharper instinct, the survivalist lends his abilities to law enforcement and private citizens. At first, Colter solves uncracked crimes and tracks missing people. But when his latest case becomes more personal than professional, Colter has no choice but to face his past.
Despite Colter’s associations with the cops, the underrated but worthwhile Tracker is completely devoid of the procedural element and instead presents itself as a good, old-fashioned detective mystery. At first, Colter comes off as distant, but his genuine sincerity makes him a character audiences can easily root for. He may be a self-employed bounty hunter, but he does his job with ethics.

6 ‘Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan’ (2018 - 2023)
Starring: John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan pulls CIA analyst Dr. Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) straight out of his office chair and into a world of high-stakes, cross-continental espionage. Thanks to his financial background, Jack managed to uncover a series of suspicious bank transfers linked to a dangerous extremist. Within seconds, he finds himself chasing a global terrorist across Europe and the Middle East.
Unlike Owen from The Recruit, John Krasinski's take on Jack Ryan is also a former Marine whose work with the Terror Finance and Arms Division (T-FAD) makes him a confident asset. Krasinski might’ve made viewers laugh in The Office, but the actor means business in this Tom Clancy adaptation. Inspired by Harrison Ford’s take on the character, Krainsinki’s Ryan is both a hero and an everyman — determined, courageous, yet undeniably human.

5 ‘The Terminal List’ (2022 - Present)
Starring: Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch

Chris Pratt’s commanding a different kind of ship in The Terminal List. Starring as Navy SEAL Lt. Commander James Reece, the man returns home carrying the psychological toll of war. Following the brutal ambush of his entire team, Reece is scarred with fractured memories and haunting questions. As he pieces together the truth, he discovers a deadly conspiracy that would risk the lives of everyone he loves.
Based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novels, The Terminal List may not break new ground in the mystery, action thriller genre. However, it’s a solid story where revenge is served cold. As Pratt’s character carries the weight of his platoon’s deaths on his shoulders, there’s no room for error in his vengeance. Fans of revenge stories and action-paced thrillers will be well-fed with this thrilling offering.

4 ‘Luther’ (2010 - 2019)
Starring: Idris Elba, Dermot Crowley, Michael Smiley

Morality, obsession, and crime collide in Luther. In this psychological thriller, John Luther (Idris Elba) is an exceptional yet deeply troubled homicide detective. He’s gifted at going into the minds of killers, fully grasping their motives and modus operandi. But his constant pursuit of justice, paired with his unorthodox methods and personal issues, make him just as dangerous as the enemies he pursues.
It only gets raw and real in Luther. The ever-reliable Elba brings an unfiltered energy to his deeply tortured Luther, transforming him into a character that’s always recalibrating his moral compass. The show is a slow burn done right, leaning towards its dark, brooding energy that suffocates its audiences. Furthermore, Luther benefits from an unpredictable storyline that throws audiences off their course.

3 ‘The Equalizer’ (2021 - Present)
Starring: Queen Latifah, Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg

The Equalizer is a reinventive and equally ruthless take on the classic vigilante story, with Oscar nominee Queen Latifah stepping into the role of Robyn McCall — a woman with a hidden past and a hunger for justice. During the day, she’s just a single mom raising her teenage daughter. But to those in the know, Latifah's Robyn is The Equalizer, a shadowy protector who uses her elite skills to help those desperate in need.
With the original story having a prominent male-dominated nuance to it, Latifah’s The Equalizer is a fresh take thanks to its lead woman character. Robyn McCall has endured many struggles in and outside her life as a mysterious avenger. From a troubled youth to a CIA operative, and eventually balancing her double life as a co-parent and fighting for the voiceless, Latifah’s character offers much nuance to the typical invisible superhero trope.

2 ‘Sherlock’ (2010 -2017)
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Una Stubbs

A modern retelling of the classic Conan Doyle books, Sherlock introduces Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular detective and his assistant, John Watson (Martin Freeman). In early-21st-century London, crime is on the rise; even Scotland Yard’s detective inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) requires Sherlock’s assistance, much to his chagrin. Whether it’s scouring for clues in the unlikeliest of places or running for their lives, the two eventually come face-to-face with Holmes’ nemesis, Moriarty (Andrew Scott).
Aside from the obviously talented cast, Sherlock does incredible justice to the source material without coming off as either kooky or edgy. Cumberbatch’s interpretation of the iconic detective is eccentric and somewhat sociopathic. But even the most brilliant of geniuses have their flaws, ones that Moriarty doesn’t hesitate to exploit. As for the storyline itself, with its many twists and jaw-dropping surprises, one may never go wrong with a Doyle mystery.

1 ‘SEAL Team’ (2017 - 2024)
Starring: David Boreanaz, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley

It’s nothing but sacrifice and brotherhood in the SEAL Team. The military drama is led by Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz), a battle-hardened leader whose personal life is collateral damage to his career. With his Tear One team, the crew tackles whatever high-stakes mission that’s been assigned. Even amid heart-pounding shootouts and rescues, the team’s loyalty remains unshakable.
SEAL Team understands the nuances of military life; it's among the few shows that do, in fact. Whether it’s soldiers cracking inappropriate jokes in the face of death or the psychological toll endured when trying to assimilate into civilian life, there’s a tactical realism that’s eerily miles ahead. Its dialogue might be out of touch due to its cheesiness, but the show pays homage to its subject matter, making it a must-watch for all those who appreciate stories of loyalty in the line of duty.
