Use the map above to collect all 15 Sacred Tears. When you’re done, you’ll earn the Stone of Trials.

Fi will inform you that the Stone of Trials is one of a pair (and won’t help beyond that). What’s she’s referring to are the the Loftwing statues scattered around Skyloft. One of them is missing a gem in its eye.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Head the the northeast by the Waterfall Cave entrance — and where Owlan taught you about the Spiral Charge earlier.
Walk up to the statue and examine it to place the Stone of Trials.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Follow the line of Clawshot targets to the entrance of the Sky Keep.
Sky Keep Room 1
Once inside, hit the bird statue to save, and then walk forward and open the chest for the Dungeon Map.
Head east from the Dungeon Map through the gate that just opened. The puzzle here rearranges the rooms of the dungeon.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
You’re not going to “solve” this layout puzzle. Instead, you’re just going to use this to make a little progress. Move the middle row-right column piece to the bottom right corner and the center piece to the right like in the image above.
Once the dungeon rearranges, head into the room to the east.
Sky Keep Room 2
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Head to the right (south). Hack through the trees and the Dekus Baba until you reach a cliff. Either shoot the fern holding the rope at the far side or fly your Beetle into it.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Whip onto the branch and swing to the rope to reach the platform to the east.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Quickly Clawshot between the vine-covered pillars to land on the platform to the west and take out the Furnix.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
At the north end of that platform, there are three Pyrups in caves along the wall. Use your Beetle to collect bombs and take them out.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Jump to the rope and swing across to the platform. Use your Gust Bellows to swing over to the north and then west to reach the exit.
There’s a Goddess Wall to the west of the bird statue. Pull the switch on the wall to the left of the Goddess Wall to open a shortcut. Save, and head through the door to the north.
Sky Keep Room 3
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Head left (west) and grab the Timeshift Orb.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Carry it back to the east and around the corner. Take out the Sentrobe and climb the ladder. Pull the switch on the wall and drop back down.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Walk through the gate you opened and step on the switch. Toss the Orb through the hole that opens. Climb back up top and run to the other end of the conveyor belt. Pull the wall switch to retrieve the Orb. Go through the gate.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Place the Orb on the platform and run back to the ledge along the east. Gust Bellows the platform along and follow it south from your ledge. Step on the switch to move the gate out of the way. Watch for the Orb to expose an eye target on the far wall. Shoot it with your Bow to open the second gate. Gust Bellows the platform to the end, pick up the Orb, and continue to the west.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Cross all the way west. Pull the switch on the wall to open a shortcut back to the beginning. Stand on the floor switch and toss the Orb onto the conveyor belt. Follow it north and deal with the Beamoses as you go.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Use the Whip-switch between the Beamos to reverse the conveyor belt. Look above the belt along the western wall for a series of eye targets. Shoot each of them as the Orb goes past. The gate to the north will open, revealing another dungeon control panel.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Use the image above to rearrange the rooms. You’re not actually moving forward here. We’re going to backtrack through the shortcuts we opened to reach a couple new rooms.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
The layout should look like this at the end.
Sky Keep Room 4
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Backtrack through Rooms 2 and 1, and head into the room to the north.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Inside, turn left to find a bird statue. Continue west under the dragon archway and turn left. Crawl through the tunnel in the wall.
Take a left at the T-intersection. Roll a Bomb Flower through the tunnel to open the path and then crawl west. Deal with the Red ChuChu, and then burrow underground.
Crawl forward and hit the switch. Backtrack through the tunnel and continue west through the gate you just opened.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Past the Lizalfos, look in the southwest corner for a statue. Toss a bomb in its bowl. Don’t hit the purple gem yet.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Stand on the small rock next to the sand slope. Roll a bomb along the sand so that it rolls down to the other statue. Follow the path down to the statue you just opened. Ignore this gem too.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Climb the vines on the right to the ledge above and face south. Shoot the bomb in the center of the trees to knock the trees down. Fly your Beetle over to grab the bomb and knock down the stand of trees to your left (east). Use the Beetle to drop a bomb in its bowl.
With all three gemstones revealed, hit them in order from physically lowest to highest — the one at the bottom of the ramp, the first one in southeast corner and the one we just revealed.
This open the gate to the south. Step through and follow the path to a burrow spot.
Crawl forward and then attack the Bomb Flower to roll it to the left. Loop around the paths clockwise to hit it again before it explodes — sending it north. Follow the path around and hit the switch to move the gate. Head back to the entrance.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Run to the east into the room you just opened. Burrow underground and deal with the Moldorms. Exit in the northeast to find the next panel — but don’t mess with it yet.
Pull the switch on the your left and continue through the door to the north.
Sky Keep Room 5
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
The next room is a repeat of your fight against Scervo.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
You’ll need to be a little more aggressive this time to drive them back. Do this three times.
Clawshot across the gap and open the chest to the right for a Small Key.
Head through the door to the left. As soon as you step through, there’s a control panel on the right.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
You’re standing in the center room and our next goal is the room with the green Triforce symbol. Move all of the rooms two slots counterclockwise.
Head through the door leading west.
Sky Keep Room 6 (green Triforce)
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Follow the path left and use the Small Key on the locked door.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Deal with the Moblins on the bridge leading north and head through the door on your left.
There are a whole lot of Bokoblin Archers and Blue Bokoblins in this room, along with a pair of Stalfos.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Stay in the corner you entered into and deal with as many of the archers as you can using your Bow. Pick up the arrows shot at you to refill your quiver.
Once everyone is defeated, the door to the south will open. Head through it.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Your next fight is against an armored (four-armed) Stalfos and a handful of Cursed Bokoblins. Once everyone is (re)dead, head through the door to the east.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Stab your sword into the mark of Farore on the ground. In the Silent Realm, walk forward and claim the Triforce of Courage.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Backtrack east to the control panel in Room 5. Move the rooms one slot counterclockwise. Head to the west again.
Sky Keep Room 7 (red Triforce)

Save at the bird statue to your right, and head to the lava hallway to the left (south).
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
For this next section, above all else, be patient. If you screw up, you’ll have to start over, and the rafts are infuriatingly slow. Hit the water pod to create a raft and ride it west.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
At the end, hit the purple gemstone above the lion statue on your right and then hit the water pod. Hop over to the raft and ride it east.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Quickly hit the gem above the statue to the east (ahead of you) to turn off the lava.
At the east end, hop off onto the platform to the left. Pull the switch on the wall to open the gate back to the bird statue.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Face west, and shoot the water pod to create a raft. Deal with the Cursed Keese, and then watch along the right (north) side. You have two targets — another purple gem above another lion statue and another water pod. Hit them both, and then hop over to the raft.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Ride the raft around to the east. At the end, you’ll find a permanent rock platform riding up and down on a lava spout. Hop onto it. Face southwest. There’s a silver rupee (100 rupees) in an alcove ahead of you - use your Beetle to get it. Use your Beetle again to fly around the corner and hit the purple gemstone again.
Turn to face east, and hit the water pod. When the lava spout lifts you up, hop across to your new raft and ride it north and west.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
At the end, Clawshot to the target. Stab into the mark of Din and claim the Triforce of Power.
Pull the switch on the wall to open the gate leading west (there’s nothing there right now). Climb the vines on the left and follow the path. Pull the next with to open the gate back to the bird statue.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Backtrack to the control panel in the center room again. Move all of the rooms four slots counterclockwise.
Use the shortcuts we’ve been opening all along to head west, north, and then east.
Room 8 (blue Triforce)
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Head right (south) when you enter and cross the sinksand.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Climb the ramp along the southern wall and pick up the Timeshift Orb.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Drop down and carry it across to the north wall (and dispatch the Sentrobe and Technoblins).
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Place it in the middle of the wall — there’s a tile on the ground.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Cross the sinksand back to the ramp and face north. Shoot the eye target on the far north wall.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Go retrieve the Orb and carry it into the hallway you just opened.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Carry it east along the hallway and clear out the Dekus Baba. At the end of the hall, back up (to the west) until the pillar disappears.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Set the Orb there, and cross the sinksand to the then of the hall.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Stand on the switch and face west. Shoot the eye target on the far west wall.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Go retrieve the Orb and carry it all the way back up the ramp. Carry it to the east end of the ramp and jump north onto the pillar that appears. Stand on the second pillar (the one to the north) and face east.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Toss the Orb east and under the platform ahead of you. You want to throw it under the wall between the rooms.
Image: Nintendo via Polygon
Clawshot to the target on the east wall and go stab the mark of Nayru. Claim the Triforce of Wisdom.
Thankfully, you don’t have to navigate out of the Sky Keep. After a long cutscene, it’ll be time to to face Demise.
